I'm sick of it too. I know it will be an exciting game and all but they don't have to make commercials about it and talk about it every five seconds. I think anyone that watches football knows the game is this weekend and they need to realize that their are other games this weekend too. I mean geez! Get over it!

I can't say I'm sick of the hype, because I don't watch sportcenter all that much (I can't stand any of the anchors)...
Yeah, it's # 1 against # 2, and it's relatively rare to see that kind of matchup this late in the regular season... but on the other hand, Ohio State and Michigan do play each other every year, so it's not like the teams haven't met in a while...
I'm just hoping the game can live up to the hype... I don't care who wins it... I just want the game to be as good as everyone thinks and hopes it will be.
When Texas and USC met in the Rose Bowl in January, now THAT was a classic #1/#2 matchup, which lived up to the hype, and then some... I hope this game can be at least half as good as that one was.... then I'll be happy.
Good luck to both schools, may the best team win!

It's by far the biggest game of the season, so I'm not surprised by the hype. I think I'm like everyone else in just wishing that Saturday would get here so the hype can be replaced by some actual football being played.
I'm not a fan of either team, but I'm excited.

hype sells the game, it brings attention to the NCAA as a whole.
over hyped? perhaps.. but heck, the winner is in the championship game, no questions asked.
some say that it sucks that there is no official playoff schedule.. but consider this an unofficial semi final game!
in sports, hype seems to come every week for some game..
i love the quote from ABC a few months ago.. "what is this week's 'game of the century' going to be?"
rutgers vs west virginia is also a huge game... consider it the Big East title game,, and for Rutgers, a potential shot at the BCS title.
SEC title game will be a big one too. that could decide who goes to the title game..

This decides who goes to the BCS championship....never can be enough hype, especially when its #1 vs. #2 in the regular season.

What's your problem? This decides whoever will get a guaranteed spot in the BCS Championship. I hate both those teams but i belive the hype.

I actually came to answers here to see if this game is as talked about everywhere else in the country as here! I was born and bred in Ohio, but for a few years lived in Michigan. I'm in Ohio now and that's all you hear about (it was all you'd hear about in MI as well). I guess I'm used to it since I've lived with it my whole life. This year is pretty tempting to actually watch since it sounds somewhat like the "superbowl" of college football - #1 vs.#2!
