hope its working ok now...
if it happens again,unplug then reset the ipod by holding the 'menu' and 'centre' button untill apple logo comes up..
you might need to re-start pc if it hangs it again
download the free updater from apple.com

it has just crashed see if there is a reset button which will reset it the computer won't recognise it because it is not communicating once it is reset it will work fine

if you are plugging your ipod into a usb port in the front of your computer it will probably work if you plug it into the back usb port
