for 512mb of ddr ram, what should my virtual memory be set to?

i have it at 1278...a friend said this was right, is it?

at least 1024 high and low

It is normally kept at 1.5 times your ram.
This virtual memory is basically taken from your harddrive.
You need this because sometimes some programs during their operations eat up more ram than you have in your system.

I just went to cnet they said 1.5 to 2.5 times is OK Google what virtual memory should be set to
