I am planning to move out on my own in about a year. I have no idea what to expect as far as expenses go. Any answers, or links to websites or articles would be helpful.

There are alot of expenses incurred in moving out on your own for the first time. Among them are:deposits on gas, lights, and telephone. Want cable or direct tv?-another expense. Are you going to rent? Most of the time they ask for a deposit and the first (and sometimes last months) rent in advance. Don't forget to allow money for groceries and work expenses. If you don't have a washer or dryer, you may need money for the laundromat. Try to buy homemaking items a little bit at a time so you won't be overwhelmed by needing everything at the same time. Maybe buy your toaster one week, your coffeepot the next week and so on..... Good luck to you! quizkid
