Did you buy it for yourself once you grew up and could buy for yourself, or was it too late to enjoy it by then?

I wanted a Barbie Dream house. I got a Barbie camper instead.
But, what should I have expected from the parents whom I asked for Donny and Marie or Sonny and Cher dolls. I got Donny and Cher!
I always planned on getting that dream house for my daughter, and I was blessed with sons. (Since they are now teenagers, I'm thanking God every day though!)

I always wanted Barbie with all the accessories. I never got her. When I grew up, I collected dolls for a while from different places.

Easy bake oven. I wanted one desperately, but Santa never got me one. It was in 1964. It was every little girl's dream toy.
Now, 42 yrs later, I have a kitchen of my own, with all the modern appliances any chef would love,
and I hate to cook...
(I got one for my daughter about 3 yrs ago for Christmas, and she completely ignored it.)

A sled. We had enough snow when I was a kid to have one, but I had to use my uncle's old heavy one. Now we do not have enough snow to have one!
A dog. Never got a pet. Now I work long hours, and it would not be fair to the animal to spend so much time alone.

I always wanted a drum set...I never got it...Finally, I ended up getting a guitar and I learned to play it.
Once I grow up, the drum set didn't make sense anymore since I was playing the guitar...

One of those battery operated cars that little kids can drive around. I'm too big/old to buy it for myself now - especially since I can just drive a real car. But I made sure I bought one for my son - I couldn't have one, but my kids can!

Well I am not all grown up yet but I know I will not get it but it is a dog but when I am all grown up I am going to get 2 or 3 dog but when I move to my farm I am going to get like 8 to 10 plus the three I will have oh and am rabbit Max... I am going to get a girlfriend too!!!!!!!!!!!!
