Uhm, I lost my mucus plug 2 days before I had my daughter. It was also greenish yellow. looked alot like snot (sorry to be so graphic) and my daughter had passed meconium (a bowel movement before she was born) He went on and induced labor and it resulted in 12 hours and an unwanted c-section. Don't freak out, just tell your doctor.

Good Luck and May God bless

Green? Hmmm. I am not positive. When I lost my mucous plug it was a yellowish color with blood streaked in it. I went into labor that same day. They say that a mucous plug can be lost weeks before your labor begins, but the green color concerns me. I would recommend you call your doctor or midwive to ask and make sure this is normal. Especially since you have over a month left of your pregnancy.

In my exsperience the mucus plug is normally blood tinged but not to worry some doctors say that after your mucus plug falls out it take a month to actually go into labor. However if you are having contractions or your water breaks go to the hospital. I know that was a dumb statement, but there those people out there. Best of luck with the new baby. I hope everyone comes out healthy

Green mucous doesn't sound very good.. If the vaginal discharge is green or yellowish, strong smelling, and/or accompanied by redness or itching, you may have a vaginal infection. The most common infection being a yeast infection... I suggest you call your doctor....Good Luck

The mucus may be slightly tinged with blood, and this is generally normal.

The texture of the mucus is actually similar to what would come out of your nose if you had a bad cold, and it's typically the same color, meaning white or yellowish.

Congrats & Good Luck

I think the mucous plug is supposed to be a dark purplish color. When I lost mine that's the color it was and that's what my doctor told me it would look like.

I think you should call your Dr. now, or go to the hospital. Green might mean that the baby has passed meconium, this is very dangerous for the baby. Baby's get the meconium into their lungs if they pass it before they are born, and it can be dangerous. Best of luck to you.

green is an odd color. I would speak with your DR- could be mucus plug with an indication of fecal matter in the sac?
