I don't understand why everyone says the movie is so great.

I think it is pretty funny and a lot different then the cookie cutter High School teen movies that are usually put out. There are some really funny one liners .

It's actually a really stupid movie, but there's something about it that makes a lot of people laugh. I for one, am not a huge fan of it, I think it's stupid for the most part, but some parts I just love.

Same here. I watched it a couple of times to try and catch the humor in it and I see nothing funny! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE comedies, but I think this movie is flat out stupid.

As a High School teacher, I can never stand to watch any movie about kids in school. They are so phony.
"Napoleon" is the most real depiction of high school kids I've ever seen. Most kids in the school, even the "cool" ones, see themselves as outcasts.

Pop. Culture (popular culture) does a lot of things simply because everyone else is doing it, not exactly because they themselves like it, but simply because it's the "in" thing to do. You'll find most people in youth aren't even themselves, they're who others want them to be, and that shapes their actions. They're afraid to keep their own ideas. But one day they will be free.

I'm with you on this one I saw it because everyone was saying how hilarious it was but to me it sucked. I didn't even crack a smile.
