I respect and appreciate cats.
Long ago...earrly 1960s I had a female tabby -Lolita- who often wouldn't lower down for meals . She would pick meat etc in her paw / claws and bring it up to her mouth. Well often enough to cause me -and others- to about freakout.
Also, she knew when I was feeling down. Then she'd jump onto my lap and offer her belly for stroking. She would never ever do this, except when I guess I exhibited some behavior, or exhuded some stress hormone (?) that only a cats can read. I've read about dog's ability to smell disease.
Tell me it's all an evolutionary accident and I'll come break your keyboard.
