No. You just need to have a wireless card to put into the PC or Laptop that you are trying to connect to a wireless network. You can get one of these from Linksys, Netgear, or any other wireless equipment company.

No. I have a home network with 3 desktops and 1 laptop. All are wireless except one desktop. The other desktops have internal wireless cards that purchased myself.

No. Most new computers these days, have provision for wireless card and some actually come with it.
