No one knows. It all depends on the woman, genetics and a roll of the dice.
Certainly after 35 your risks do go up a bit, but many women have babies in their 40s and are fine. On the flip side there are women in their 20s who have children with serious problems.
Drink lots of OJ (for the folic acid) take vitamins and get a checkup before you get pregnant and you'll give a baby the best possible start no matter what your age.

Don't listen to these people who say 35!!!!!!!!! they are just repeating what they hear and don't have any facts...... It is true that there is an increased chance of having a child with birth defects the older you get.......but statistically it's NOT that much higher......each year the % goes up a little but not significantly. As long as you are healthy and still having regualar periods then you can have a healthy baby. I was 39 on NOv 3 and I am 29 weeks pregnant. My pregnancy is going smooth. I see a maternal fetal specialist and am having no complications. I also concieved naturally............. It's not just age to consider, it's age, health, etc............... talk to your Dr.

Generally it is about age 35 that chances of complications start to go up. But you can have a baby with problems at any age, and you can have a healthy baby at any age. It depends more on genetic make up and luck.
