well if you want to learn bass, you might as well get an electric bass because acoustic bass guitars are rare and almost no one uses them.

if you want to learn guitar, the best way to learn is the acoustic guitar. if you start out on the acoustic you will build up your finger strength and build a callus on all your fingers. if you learn the electric first, your fingers will not get stronger, and you will probably not grow any callus on your fingers.

electric would be easier to learn on, but stupid because you will be left behind from everyone else, youd be skipping the basics and find out your only setting yourself back

start out on acoustic guitar

and the guitar and bass are two different instruments by the way

Your average guitar is 6 strings, (EADGBE) and your average bass is 4 strings (EADG). The bass's notes would be an octave lower than the guitar's. I think that you should learn acoustic guitar first. This would make it easier to pick up an electric guitar, and if you were interested, a bass. Drums are a totally different subject, and you should only try that if you have good rhythm. There is no "easier" instrument, because the guitar has an infinite number of chords, bass is just....hard, and drum rudiments (and such) can get difficult as well. However, on a beginner level, I would recommend the guitar, because it would be easier to play songs familiar to you on the guitar than if you were to play bass or drums. Either way, all three instruments are rewarding and fun to play, so good luck!

If you've already got a good sense of rhythm, probably you will sound OK on bass before you sound OK on guitar. But to be at a professional level, either is equally hard. Check this out:

Bass, it only has 4 strings. You can pick up guitar when you know the fretboard better. Check out this site: http://bigmacfann.jimlee.hop.clickbank.net

both take knowledge of where the notes are and which ones to hit. I (as a musician) would choose the bass..it doesnt require knowing finger chording.....
