I recently found the watch missing from my watch box. She didn't take the other ones because she didn't realize they had value as well. Luckily she didn't know watches. She pawned it and it is now sold but I can't prove it.

We broke up because I suspected she was stealing. I was missing expensive wine from the cellar and other items.

I heard all this through the grapevine and it seems to check out. Do I have any recourse?

Well Skinny Vic I suppose you could try and contact the police to see if you could have her charged with theft but is going to be difficult to prove. Sorry but this seems to be a life lesson for you and as such will have to live with it. I know exactly how you feel as I was once with a woman who pawned a lot of my old albums, some antiques that my grandmother had left me etc. I just let it be and hopefully Karma will rear it's head and this person will get it back 100 fold.

Do you have any incriminating evidence against her?
(nude photos, panties, etc...) Post them on the internet.
Unless you can find out which pawn shop has the watch, and identify it by a scratch or initials on it, It's lost.

Good riddence! I'd say you made a good decision to get rid of her! Don't feel bad. Too bad about the things she stole, but you're right, you can't prove it, so there's nothing you can do.

Just thank your lucky stars that you learned this before it went any farther. Take a deep breath and move on with your life.
