Went to the doctor today and she put me on Pelvic Rest? Can anyone help....?

I would just like to know what everyone thinks about this. I am 6 weeks pregnant and I am wondering why she is worried enough to restrict me?

You could be like me and have Placenta Previa but I think its too early to tell for that. Your doctor might just be playing it safe. I'd ask if you wanna know.

Always make sure that everything is explained in a way you can understand it. It's good to always take a notebook with you so you can write down and questions you have and what the caregiver says.

You're probably a high risk for miscarriage. I don't want to scare you but that's normally why the doctor puts you on pelvic rest or bed rest. They' probably want to watch you until you start your second trimester.

You could simplyask her the specific reason. But you are probably at high risk for a miscarriage. There are many different reasons you could be at risk. The lining of your uterus could be thin, you could have a shortened cervix... many different reasons. But the best idea is to just call and ask her, she'll tell you.

you may be carring low, and to avoid miscarriage you have to rest, but call your dotor to be on the safe side, if they put you on rest its for a reason.
