Half of 8 is 4, so if you divid 8 in half you get 4. But if you divid 8 by a half then you get 16.

If you draw the number eight, and "cut it in half" with a straight line... horizontally, you'd get two zeros. If you made the line vertically (up & down), you'd get a 3 and a backwards 3.
