I've heard it referred to as the "devil" at cosmetic stores. I've heard it dries out your lashes and actually clumps alot worse than regualr mascara. But I've been using waterproof for years. Anyone know if there's any truth to that? Thanks!

I love waterproof mascara, just don't use that cheap stuff that definitely clumps. And if it's hard to take off, just use vaseline to take it off, works miracles. Plus waterproof obviously doesn't smear or anything. Hope this helps!

Waterproof mascara seals your lashes. It's ok to use when needed, but you should try a water resistant mascara for daily use. Plus it's always best to use an eye make-up remover. Excess tugging at the eye area will increase the formation of wrinkles around the eyes.

Yes, it does dry out your lashes. And you loose alot of lashes by using waterproof mascaras.

I used to wear it and used facial cleaners instead of cosmetic removers and my eye lashes had a lot of breakage, probably from trying to wash the mascara off.

I just find it's harder to remove, and more eyelashes fall out when I'm removing it. But, I don't think it's drying or damaging.

I only use it at weddings and funerals when I know I'm going to cry.
