I think your problem is that you are just being evil and trying to get a rise out of people. Of course believing in God is in my best interest. Your just a joker lookin for a laugh by mocking everything we Christians believe in. Get a life and learn about God's unconditional love. Then maybe you won't go around acting and looking like a bonehead.
What you fail to realize Herr Doktor is that it is not about religion at all. It is about the faith and love and believe that exsists between each individual and God. We have personal relationships with God. What you described as so mythical and rosie is far from the truth. God is real. God's love is real, and so be it if us humans have a great hope for an afterlife of eternal peace and love. It sure beats the hell that's going on on this earth right now that every single one of us is apart of simply because we're human. Doesn't a better life sound good to you? A life without murder, rape, war, crimes against children, homelessness? Come on, open up your mind and think outside your one sided sphere.

Why would it be in your best interest to convince others not to believe in a God/Higher power? How could you prove it when your not objective? Any evidence you find will simply be tainted because everyone who does believe can say you didn't investigate all religions fairly just like you can say the same about them at most you would only be able to convince those who are on the fence or already believe as you do.

Why? What does it matter to you what I believe. Its too late anyway, I have had too many years and my faith has proved faithful to me. Thank you, that you care, but rather than trying to convince us to not believe, nobody is going to change their ideas one way or the other anyway, why not spent your time doing something else. The world needs people who care. Why not be one. Perhaps you already are caring but most of the people on this site who don't believe seem angry to me. Just my observation from reading the questions. Hope that is not you.

And...? If you are trying to convince people, you have to have arguments to prove yourself! One sentence doesn't tell me anything. Regardless, it's sad when people don't believe in God. I'm a Christian and cannot imagine going through life without him.

By doing more than asking a question. If you want to prove something, then debate it out and find a way. You must find some appeal and a good argument. Not everyone is easily converted to anything that is pushed on them just by claiming it. Atheist, Christian or otherwise.

Who really CARES if believing in God is in someone's best interest??? Isn't the question if God exists or not? Whether it is in my best interest or not doesn't have anything to do with what is true and what is not.

Not believing in God is not necessarily in your best interest, either, and He will prove it to you ... possibly too late (for you).

God is not the fictitious image in the religious dogma, that I agree, is not in my, or in your, best ineterst to believe in.

God is much smarter than all people put together, that is why He is in His job, as God.

i do not belive in god, but you cannot change the way people think, and in turn they should not try to tell us to believe in god either. it is deffinately not in anyones best interest to believe in god because it causes a thin veil around your eyes and thoughts. you and i can not believe and know the world and know every color. just be happy knowing you are the one who sees the world for what it really is, in all its beauty and horror.

Hell I am an Atheist and I think you are a dillweed. Why would you even want to try to convince anyone that they are wrong. What is the expression ( i mean no offense with this), oh yea " Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.".

People who want to prove a point of view, try to do so only to
bolster their own non belief.

Bu the way, how's that working for ya?
