My parents have had a famous TERMIte Co, for at least 20+ yrs.
Do to something about what my mom said about a certain amount of money set aside in an account in case the house ever needed to be tented, it became all about the money. The manager then proceeded to try and bully my parents into tenting the house, saying the other report didn't matter which had been free and clear. They bullied, harrassed and lied on reports. It has taken 16 months of fighting with them, now we have a swarm of termites in our house. They descovered it a year ago and said they would fix it, did nothing. Later, reports said it was an old colony and dead. But the previous year, no damage. That is a clearly NOT DEAD colony.
We have since gone with a local company who everyone has recommended. They are awesome and have given us our first sence of peace. Their reports clearly note the other company lied to dying people. How can I make sure this doesn't happen to others? Shame on TERMIte Co.

Start with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and also look into your States Attorneys Office or local agency regarding taking advantage of the elderly. Try a local TV news investigative reporter.

Did they pay with credit card? You can try to recoup some of the money through them as well.

The best advertisement is word of mouth.Maybe word of mouth would work on the negative side.Although You probably like to dwell on the positive.

It's amazing how many people take advantage of Seniors.I stayed with my grandmother when I was in my 20s.It was funny to see the look on the crooks faces when I opened the door.

Well, this wasn't helpful at all was it?

Thanks for being a good daughter anyway.

To start off they shouldn't bully a client to do anything. That is against company rules. I would talk with a lawyer and suit them and you even might get your money back . But I wouldn't recommend anybody to them. If someone says something good about them tell them what happened to you. But teh company will go against you but suit them and it will stop all harassment
