Waht do I need to know. I am 5'8.5 and 220 pounds. what "position" should I play. What do they do?

High School & College wrestling teams ususally don't have "positions". They're broken down by weight class.

at your weight you would be in the heavey weights.. with your height, if you can loose some weight down to about 180 or 190 or even a little lower,,, what ever you can do and it fills right for you , do not push you self or let any h.s wrestling coach push you into some weight class that you have to fight to maintain..
h.s wrestling is fun and should be. it really builds you up but takes a lot of committment... i was a coach for 20 years and in that time i had 5 state champions,, all two years each ,, back to back .. good luck

well, I suggest if there is a 215 weight class in your area you drop down to that, or even 200 if you can. At those weight classes its basically who can out muscle who. There isnt much speed there so the technic isnt as important.
