i KNOW ITS THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE THING THAT YOU'LL HAVE TO DO BUT THIS IS HOW TO DO IT.

1. WASH YOUR HANDS

2. take the babies diaper down but not off. You'll need it to cover the baby up.

3.Take the supposotory out of the package,

4. hold it in your hand a little to soften it up a little.

5. hold your babies legs so their pushed up towards the stomach
Insert the suppososory in the babies bun hole.

Just to let you know your baby might cry but remember that if your baby hasn'thad a bowel movement that you need to get the bowel movement out. If not your DR will have to pull it out which one do you rather?

First, throw the them away. Next call around and get a new doctor.

Try to get the baby to breastfeed more often, if they are bottle fed try a new formula, or double check to make sure you are adding the correct amount of water to the formula.

If the baby is having trouble help the baby :run: by moving there little legs up and down. The motion of bringing their knees to their belly will help them go.

Get some KY jelly, lubricate the supposatorie, insert the tip of the suppository into her rectum just until your finger touches her. do not insert your finger, she is too small. Hold your finger there for about 30 sec- to 1 minute. The spincter will hold it in. Placing her on her belly with her knees bent or on her left side in a fetal position works well. PLEASE DO NOT INSERT YOUR FINGER

This sounds kinda gross but stick with me. First, lube up the supp. with K-Y ( water based lubricant ). Don't use oil based lubes. Lay the baby face down and insert the supp. until it gets just past the sphincter. After inserting the supp. hold the butt-cheeks closed for about a minute ( 'cause he try to sqeeze it out ).

petroleum jelly on a q tip works great and isn't as uncomfortable as a suppository. just insert the swab part in and boom, out will come the poop. i used it on my kids. but don't do it too much or the baby will become dependent on it.. you want him to learn how to poop on his own and aiding him all the time will make him lazy.. but its good every once in a while

if you can give him a fooler(pacafier) let him relax and then insert it just a bit into his rectum. And there should be directions on how long to hold it there. Make sure you have something laying under him because he will have a BM.

First make sure your nails are short so you don't scratch the rectal tissue. Also wash your hands and put on a disposable glove or cover your finger with a plastic sandwich bag or finger cot.

Place the suppository in warm water or water soluble jelly to make insertion easier. Don't use petrolium jelly or it could cause the suppository not to work correctly.

Lay him on his stomach with his knees bent. Gently push in the suppository and for an infant it should be pushed in about 1 1/2 inches.

be careful use LUBE or Vaseline just a tad on the outside of his butt SLOWLY insert it i would not put any of your finger in his bottom just make sure the suppository is all the way in. HOLD his cheeks together to be sure he dose not push it back out and to allow it time to melt. Be sure you have something under him for when he has a bm. I hope he feels better soon. Best to do it when he's asleep.
