What is 2x + 6 / -2x

First, you would take out the GCF (greatest common factor) out from the top.
Your equation should then look like 2(x+3)/-2x.
Then, since your Left with just multiplying and division, it is legal to start to cancel things out. Therefore, you would cancel out the two from the top with t e two from the bottom.
So, your left with : x+3/ -x
and if you don't like the negative on the bottom, just bring it up to the top.
Your final answer, should be -(x+3)/x or without the braquets.....
-x-3/x
