MP3 players are the most awesome thing ever invented. No joke. If they're into music, and they don't already have them, I suggest iPods (nano, mini, regular- whatever). It's expensive, but it's honestly worth it if you like music enough. I'm one of the cheapest people I know, but I forked up $300 for a 20GB (a fortune to me, being still in high school), and never once regretted it. I can carry all my music with me EVERYWHERE.
If they already have them, or if they're not so into music- or if you don't feel like spending so much- accessories are always good. Clothes are risky. I've had my parents try to buy me clothes before, and it has NEVER worked out. But for punk accessories, leather or fake leather cuffs are cool. Or, a t-shirt of their favorite band, even though it's clothing, would probably go over pretty well. Also, a gift certificate to a favorite store is cool- if they're not into stores like Hot Topic or Spencers (which a lot of people into the punk/goth style aren't for moral reasons) you can get a certificate for a CD store or an online store.
Music is good.
Beyond that, it gets into personality. What do they like to do?

well my cuz is 14 and she wants an ipod nano. being that u hav 2 daughters that could be expencive. so, u could get them clothing at hot topic. or u could buy them something special like something that they have been asking for for a long time. but if all else fails, the best thing u is buy them prepaid credit cards or give em money to use at their own will

How about MP3 players with six months of Napster To Go. They can download as much music as they want for one monthly fee of $14.

Maybe a cell pone, and mp3 player. Or even an American express goft card so they can buy what they want. Maybe take them shopping and give them what ever they want up to a certain amount.

you should get them two of the same things that they like. so they're not fighting over it all the time. unless they are older and don't really care what the other has. if so, get them something they really like, something they've wanted for a while. i hope this helped. -Kaity

iPods, gift certificates to clothing stores or music stores, iTunes downloads, digital cameras, DVDs of their favorite movies. Or how about bicycles? (Don't tell them it's to get in shape - tell them it's for FUN!) :)
