We do every year, we hold hands around the table standing up and the head of the house or the oldest man say grace, then one by one we tell what were thankful for ( i love it) but one year my husband mom got upset because he said he was thankful for me in his life, and she thought he should have said he was thankful for her. so i felt funny the rest of the day because i knew she was upset.

We do this every evening at dinner, this is the only mean during the week that all family members are present. We hold hands and one says the grace and blesses our food. As far as being thankful, we should be thankful everyday, just because God woke us up, so many others he did not. God bless*

No, we don't hold hands while saying what we are thankful for but we do when we say the blessing at meals, even in the restaurants. I think you should continue with this and make it a tradition and hopefully the rest will catch on.

We hold hands when we say grace, but not when we say what we're thankful for.
