College is very cool! The people tend to be a lot more mature than high school and not so judgmental and narrow-minded. The same kids that were snotty and snobby in high school when I went to college were nice as could be to me! Don't ask my why because I'm not sure!

Also, in high school since I was planning on college my classes were very structured and I didn't have any choices at all in what I wanted to take so that I could fit in all the required college prep courses, but in college I had a lot more choices in what I wanted to take, esp. of course in the last 2 years when you choose your major. But even in the first 2 years you can choose what you will take to some extent, say a poetry class vs.a Victorian Lit class or a Women's History class vs. a European History class or Astronomy vs. Anthropology or Biology...

I did have some very, very close friends (like sisters) in high school, and I think it is a little harder to get those kind of close friendships in college. I made one really close friend in college which we are still very close friends. I've heard you can get those kind of friendships in sororities or fraternities, although I did not join one, they can be very time-consuming, and I always had a part-time job unfortunately.

College is definitely better because you don't have to actually go to class, well for some classes, unlike in high school where there was mandatory attendance. Plus in college you actually get to take classes that are interesting and with professors who actually know the material and can teach, unlike some high school teachers I've had. The social life of both settings depends on yourself and how active you are, but both are a great opportunity to make friends. The only downside of college is that you have to pay for it, unlike high school where it was free, unless it was a private school.

university is way better than high school. more freedom, you feel like an adult, self motivation and responsibility. nobody cares what you do and its not like high school where its just a small world. you can meet people more easily in classes, buses, etc. but you wont have as many really close friends because ppl get so busy and everyone just does their own thing. you should become more independent and self-reliant at this level.

I liked High School better for the following reasons:
1. I knew more people in high school, and it was generally more fun
2. I didn't have to work in high school.. that was nice In college you gotta worrry about alot of bills.
3. I hated walking to classes in college. It was cold where I went to school and walking a mile in the snow sucked
4. I got sick of college women big time.. In my school they all came to classes dressed in pajamas and just generally looked nasty. I don't know what it is about going to college that just makes people think they can look like trash in public. It was sad.
