Already bought one - Xbox 360!
I didn't like the new controllers on the Nintendo WII (so I bought the Nintendo DS Lite instead - lol)
Playstation 3 - too much money. Maybe next year when someone sells theirs to the used game store!

If I had to choose between these three console, I would choose the XBox 360 for a relative modest price of $300-$400. The graphics are greater than the original and most of their major kinks has been fixed already, since it's almost a year old already. Plus, there selection of games are getting better to the point that there making profit for Microsoft (heck, the wireless controller is looking cool).
I would wait for the PS3 to "fully" come out on March, when most of their kinks are fixed with various downloads. The price is relativetly high ($500-$600) but it could have been higher if Sony wasn't in deep trouble keeping up in the electronic industry (the laptop battery recall took a big hit in the stock market for Sony). The console still have some flaws and I don't like the few selections they have (21 games by years end). The Blu-Ray compatibilites (plays both Blu Ray and DVD) looks promising and their 1080i compatibilties looks great, but it all depends if the Cell-Processor can hold up. They might have a hard time making profit for years and I don't trust the console now.
The Nintendo Wii might bring back the original kings of video games back to respectability for the first time since the N64, but I'm not counting to buy it just yet, even though it cost just $250 (the cheapest out of the three). Their game are respectable, allowing to play the classics games from previous Nintendo format (mostly GameCube and downloads thru Virtual Console) and promise to launch 30 new games by years end. Their biggest strength has to be the revolutionary Wii Remote Control, which allows you to play in a first person player with just a single stroke of the wrist instead of pushing buttons. With the DS bringning back respect in the game world, I wouldn't be surprise if Nintendo comes out the big winner in all of this.

at first, you will no longer get a playstation /3 or a Wii for some months until the shortages/defects are dealt with so in case you do no longer prefer to attend... The XBOX 360 has a great form of FPS / action video games and good availability now. additionally performs maximum XBOX video games and DVDs. confirm you get the top rate equipment. The PSP is a huge portable equipment (i'm thinking of having one) with a great form of arcade and puzzle sort video games. It performs movies, yet they're in Sony's specific disc format. the two structures have on line features. in case you prefer a extensive library of video games (used and new) get a playstation /2. that's a great tried-and-actual equipment that performs DVDs suited out of the field.

Xbox 360 isn't too shabby out of all the other choices. I only tend to like a small amount of Nintendo games. PS3 is the better system but yeah it costs a bundle but Sony is actually losing a lot more money (it costs about 806 dollars to manufacture the system and Sony charges about 499 dollars) with the hopes of regaining the loss through game sales. I'd go with Xbox 360 if you are budget conscious.

The Xbox 360 is the superior system. PS3 sucks, and the Wii is awesome in its own way.

Playstation 3.
With inflation considered, you are paying about the same amount for a PS3 as you have for game systems in the past. 360 is already outdated and less robust than PS3 and the Wii is for little kid games.

360: Already have.
PS3: Pre-ordered. Hopefully I'll get one, even with the recent cut.
Wii: Will try to get it this Sunday by going to the store early.

im going to get a wii, its going to be a lot more fun to play, just because the graphics arent good doesnt mean it would be fun to play. my friend has a PSP and i have a nintendo DS, and he prefers my DS to his PSP. that just shows that graphics dont make the game unless thats all you care about
