I was in Melrose in Los Angeles and I bought 3 BAPE hoodies. I assumed that they were real because obviously they are on Melrose Blvd. I asked if they were real and they said yes. Anything I can do to get my money back? Can the police get involved?

For those who are not familiar, BAPE or Bathing Ape is a Japanese clothing brand. The whole hoody is based on a unique camoflauge print, these sweaters are several hundred dollars each. I paid $200 for each one, for a total of $600. To the novice eye (me) they looked real since you can tell when its an obvious fake, but I posted photos on a BAPE online forum and I was told they were counterfeit.

just because they're on Melrose doesn't mean they're real - they sell fakes on Park Avenue .... you could press it and go back and say you'll take legal action but is it REALLY worth it? how did you determine they were fakes anyway? you couldn't tell when you had them in your hand at the store? if it was on the street most likely the vendors long gone or he's selling some other 'real' designer goods!

Go back and get a refund. Tell them you were falsely told that they were geniune. Threaten with the police or legal action

Nope. You gotta watch what you buy in the hood. In fact, never buy anything again on the streets unless Fitty Cent himself is handin it to ya

oh, just live with it....nobody would ever find out that they are fake, i have a pair of sweats that sombody told me was juicy corture but i dont care because they still look hot....so my point is, nezt time just be more carefull....unless its like 50 cents, then that means you will wear them for a week and then they fall apart, but still you get yours moneys worth!!!

I didn't know artificial clothing was sold. ;) Don't trust the sales people, all they're interested in is their commission.
