Peacefulness, a calm and passive state of mind. When I think of the word 'serenity' I think of a waterfall. Things like that are the true meaning.

Serenity means to ultimately become calm and unruffled. You can equate your life to the clear blue skies. Quiet, no negative energies flowing, and positive energy is kept on a calm level. The monks are always in search of knowledge and truth and in thier quest, they have serenity. Yoga masters have serenity. True meditation can give you serenity. Peace, I believe, goes hand in hand with serenity.
