Not only are the beats great, but conscious reggae really makes you look at our world from another point of view. Most of the world is not warm, comfy, and white bread like alot of us experience it. Alot of people struggle really hard for what we take for granted, and conscious reggae music puts reality in your face and asks you, "What are you gonna do about it?"

Bob, of course, is one of my favorites, but don't forget:

Black Uhuru
Peter Tosh
Bunny Wailer
Steele Pulse
Burnin' Spear
Luciano
Desmond Dekker

exciting. i haven't rather theory approximately it because of the fact the reggae I hear to is by utilising artists with Jamaican accents. rather, that's a sort of music, so the accessory shouldn't make any distinction - however the Jamaican accessory is so lilting and musical that i think of it does lend something to the sound that yet another accessory possibly could no longer. i assume it relatively is like rap - first time you hear a rapper who does not have an American accessory it only sounds undeniable extraordinary, yet while they have have been given the talents and you supply them yet another hear, you comprehend the accessory rather isn't the subject. innovations you, there have been effectual and credible ska and a pair of-step artists without Jamaican accents. (i do no longer think of UB40 have been ever taken all that heavily as credible artists. Their music became relaxing, yet no one would have been asserting them in the comparable breath as Jimmy Cliff or Bob Marley or Peter Tosh).

I love it, only its mood music. I have to be in the right frame of mind. I would need something like a beer-a-colada. You gotta love those beats though.
