Then take 1/5 and divide the 5 into the one by adding one zero add more zeros, if it doesn't come out even).

3 is the whole nuber so you only need to worry about the 1/5.
divide 1 by 5 and you get .2
so the answer is 3.2

if the quetion was 12 1/8 do the same thing.
divide 1 by 8 and you get .125
the answer would be 12.125
get it?

1/5th of 10 is 2, so 1/5th of 1 is 0.2

That means 3 1/5 = 3.2

Okay, we know that 3 is a whole # right? So keep that in mind. Now, go and get your calculator... got it? Okay divide!! 1 divided by 5 is 0.2 . Now let's put those together... 3 + 0.2 = 3.2 . Hope that help!!!

the answer is
3.2
the way i got is by timsing 5 and 3 and then adding1 to the answer.
which will give me 23/5 ( the 5 is the denominator).
then divide 23 by 5 and the answer is 3.2.

well if i take out by calculator out of my poket on my shirt that protects my pencils and find the square route of 94 the put that answer on a not pad that came out of my pocket take out a pencil and divide 65/4 and get 3.2 which is the answer
