If you can divide into decimals try this.

divide 100 by the denominator
times it by the numerator
put a zero and decimal point before the first digit of the answer.
Remove all other decimals.

eg 1/4

100/4 = 25

add 0. in front gives you 0.25

3/5
take denominator 100/5 = 20

muliply by numerator = 3*20 = 60

add 0. gives 0.60

2/3

take denominator 100/3 = 33.33333333
multiply by numerator = 66.66666666
0. at the front and remove others = 0.666666666666666

It works with any fraction up to 10. After ten the 0. has to be replaced by 0.0 up to 100 etc.....

I assume you mean convert fractions to decimals...

You just divide. 3/4 is 3 divided by 4...

4 doesn't go into 3 at all, so you turn 3 to 3.0. 4 goes into 30 7 times (with 2 left over) so the decimal is 0.7 so far. Bring down another 0 and 4 goes into 20 5 times so the final answer is 0.75...

To convert a fraction to a decimal you need to divide the numerator by the denominater. The numerator is the number on top the denominater is the number on the bottom.

Example:

1/4 = 1 divided by 4 = 0.25

2/5 = 2 divided by 5 = 0.4

I hope this helps!

Punch the top number (the numerator) into a calculator and divide it by the bottom number (the denominator).

The answer you get is the decimal value. You do not need to do anything further.

e.g 3/4 (three quarters)

3 divide by 4 is 0.75

Could you perhaps re-phrase your question? If you have specific fractions whose decimal representation you'd like to see ... simply type out some of those fractions like so:

3/4, 5/6, 17/19, etc.

Hope this helps clarify!
