what do we say to the new core 2 duo (which i must say rocks) vs the old amd dual core series. ps what abt the new quadcore in store. what else can we expect guys

true indeed, core 2 duo ee rocks nd amd dual cores r much more expensive with lesser performance. i'm sure intels quadcore with shorter pipelines will(or may) outperform amd but u never know whats in store hope 4 the best

Give me an AMD any day! Intel is too expensive! The amount of speed difference isnt a factor to me considering that there is no software that uses these speeds! Its all a scam that misleads the average user into thinking his software is going to run so much better! The fact is, ram is still the key factor in a good running PC! 99 percent of the user public doesnt know any better! I mean lets get real here! So the core 2 duo finished the program in 2 nanoseconds less time!

Intel quad core's are supposed to come in Nov of 06 and AMD quad cores in 07. November is already here and I haven't heard a word about Intel quad cores though.

Intel's multicore processors are just kickin butt and taking names, even the most virulent anti-Isral activist is rushing out to buy a new Israeli designed multicore processor holding machine.. They will only get better.
