"PS2 vs. XBOX" has evolved into "PS3 vs. XBOX 360"...This might also be called "Blu-ray vs. HD DVD"..."Sony vs. Microsoft"...Or simply "Coke vs. Pepsi".

My point is that it's all PREFERENCE...Some folks LOVE one and HATE the other...Or maybe the other way around...I know that SOME titles ARE exclusive but MOST are not...But I will say that PS2 had the MOST games in its day.

If you've already started with the XBOX, and you've been satisfied,I say keep with the program...If the PS and PS2 have never let you down, then steer the course...Think of all of those BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE discs you own...Which ever one you buy will be an IMPROVEMENT over what you have NOW.

On paper, the PS3 is a BETTER machine, but is it TWICE as good as the old XBOX 360? And think, after PS3 arrives, don't you think Microsoft might LOWER their prices just to gain an EDGE in the market?

Lastly, and most important, if you've tried them both and believe one to be BETTER than the other, then I WOULDN'T worry about how much they COST...But go find out for YOURSELF...Don't go off REVIEWS or what you've HEARD...You should go down to your local BESTBUY and try them BOTH.

I would get an Xbox 360. However, a computer is better than both. Nearly all xbox games are also computer games, in the same high definition quality. People think that computers have bad graphics, but you can plug your computer into your t.v. with a cheap cable, and unless you have a bigscreen a computer has more resolution anyway. I have a 57 inch DLP with some good xbox games like Flatout and Far Cry at home. Also the games only cost 10-30 dollars, not like 80 or 90. You can also get some nice wireless controllers refurbished fro around 15 dollars, so you wouldnt have to use a keyboard. And you cant even see these "amazing blue ray" games without a blue ray dvd player, which cost thousands of dollars.

What do your associates have? If maximum have one device over the different, bypass with the single they have. probable 80% of video games exist on both structures, yet you may't play PS3 friends on a 360 reproduction of a recreation. If that is not a favtor, any previous variety loyalty? have a good time with Halo, bypass for 360 for that sequence. have a good time with Ratchet & Clank? bypass PS3. (only examples.) in case you've were given a severe-def television and watch lots of flicks or have Netflix, you receives lots out of blu-ray video clips, really available on PS3. once you've lots of vids on your pc, the 360 is a touch nicer and cooperates honestly with living house windows Media middle. Multiplayer, Netflix, and different constructive aspects fee $4-$8/mo on the 360. That does filter out most of the crap, even though it fairly varies from recreation to recreation. PSN has only had an outage, although the 360 has had a similar project (yule '07), so both are not one hundred% sturdy. (And credits card suggestion replaced into not stolen.) 360's controller is nicer and feels sturdier (imo), yet PS3 controllers can charge with a common mini-USB twine and also you'll improve the hardcontinual with any pc-length hardcontinual. MS' expenses for peripherals (the bigger problematic drives, charging kits, etc) are severe in evaluation. Persoanlly, i propose the PS3, yet that is provided that you get through all the different aspects and nonetheless cna't come to a call.

Wait a year, then buy the PS3. They'll lower the price substantially by then and there will be more games to choose from. Plus they'll have time to work out the manufacturing kinks and defects with the PS3's. The first batches of game systems always have problems. Paying a little extra for the 'blue' technology then will be worth it.

If you can't wait and need a new system now, do the Xbox. I'm not with microsoft, but I suspect they'll lower the price on the system a bit more next spring to compete with the PS3 until their new system launches.

Excellent choice and investment (PS3). Played it since Monday and can't let go! More addicting than my XBox 360!

I played games on a PS3 development kit at work (EA Sports) over a year ago and was impressed with it. Only thing is that it did not look anything like the final release. Looked like a tan PC tower with a PSP hanging out for a controller. Graphics were cool and game play fantastic, even for beta games. I got my PS3 free from my landlord who works for Sony in Foster City, CA three days ago and am impressed! It's a great investment!

Well you won't be able to get a PS3 for a couple of months at least. At that point you want to look at the games available to the two systems and make your decision.

Right now, I haven't seen one decent game available at launch for the PS3 so the 360 is ahead there. In a few months though who knows.

However the Wii is coming out on Sunday it is cheaper than both and won't be hard to come by. There are 3 or 4 games for Wii at launch that are excellent. Not to mention that it comes with a game.

Haven't u read the Reviews for the XBOX 360? It has perfect graphics , gameplaying and everything, but the durability of the console is pretty bad.... it has many failures...... I wouldn't take the risk, the xbox rush too much in releasing this product to the market,
I would recommend u to buy the PS3, in spite of I'm a fan of xbox.....

PS3 is overpriced as to be considered stupid. For a complete PS3, you can but a pretty fast, well equipped PC. XBOX is good, but not cutting edge so I guess you either stick with PS2, XBOX, GC or throw a huge chunk of cash down for Sony's newest product. Me? I'm sticking with PS2, GC and my PC for the time being. Maybe the price will come down to be more realistic.
