I think everybody with KCB after their name have been knighted by the Queen as they all seem to be sir somebody

They are members of the The Most Honourable Order of the Bath .
The Order consists of the Sovereign (the British Sovereign), the Great Master (currently HRH The Prince of Wales),and three
Classes of members:
Knight Grand Cross or Dame Grand Cross (GCB)
Knight Commander or Dame Commander (KCB or DCB)
Companion (CB)

But yes you're right anyone who is a Knight Commander of Dame Commander has the title "Sir" before their forename.
