As someone already mentioned, yes, the park is potentially going to be sold to a land developer. The land that Six Flags Magic Mountain sits upon is potentially worth something in the multi-billion dollar range, depending on zoning and how it is developed. This situation was prominantly featured on the local news (Los Angeles) earlier this year.
Fans of the park need not worry, as if this deal WERE to go through (chances are that it won't anytime soon, if at ALL)... it would take forever for paperwork to be dealt with and the handover to take place, so the park isn't going anywhere for at least a few years.
Warner Brothers does not and has never owned Magic Mountain. Six Flags is owned by Six Flags, Inc. - which is publically traded as "SIX" on the New York Stock Exchange. Six Flags, Inc. merely has a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. for use of characters.

All the Six Flags parks are up for sale as a package deal. The lease on the one in Valencia is up and that land is worth BANK. The community doesn't want the park to close, its a big money/tourism draw.
The deal...last time I heard it was that the developer would sell the park but only if all the parks sold to the same company.
There isn't a law suit that I know of.
The city wants to put in a condo/shopping complex...like there aren't enough condo/shopping complexes in the Santa Clarita Valley!!!

That's the first I've heard of it.
I doubt if it's closing... and if it did, I'm almost positive it wouldn't relocate. (They might move some of the best rides to other Six Flags parks.)

I heard the same thing. Well, if it DOSE close THANK GOD. The place is a hell hole. If it DOESN'T close they should rename it THUG-VILLE cause all it attracts is a bunch of thugs straight out of county. The park has it's own police department. That's gotta tell you something.

well is this the roller coaster ride in Disney World? If not totally ignore what I'm about to say. If it is what I think it is I know there was a little boy with a heart defect that went on the ride and died of a heart attack this past summer.

i don't think it's closing. I know Warner Bros doesn't own it anymore though, so maybe it's possible.
