After many years of observation I think that in general women are safer drivers than men. I've had a number of small accidents which were nearly all my fault and those that weren't were caused by another man driver. My son had regular knocks when he first stared driving, again mostly through his own misjudgement. In one he skidded on a bend on icy leaves and the car ended up on its roof in the middle of the road. Fortunately for him he escaped without a mark on him and a kindly lady driver came alonga nd took charge of the situation to make it safe. my wife on the other hand has had no accidents whatever in a long career. She passed the test forst time a sdid my daughter. My sin and I needed two attempts. My daughter has had no accidents in over twelve years of driving nor any points on ehr licence. I've had two lots at separate times.
The down side is that women sem tyo be more cautious drivers to the point of being annoyance sometimes. With men the testiserone factor definitely shows on the way they'll nip out at junctions where a woman would wait. There are exceptions of course. I made that remark once to a woman whose husband was driving the three of us on a long journey. She soon suggested she take ove the wheel and without comment, proceeded to show just how nippy she could be. My daughter is no slouch on the road either and I'm hoping she collect none of the wrong kind of trophies to prove it.

Yes women can drive. Some better than men. Women are capable to do almost anything a man can do.

My god, how to get a lot of answers - and how many women took the bait. Of couse we can drive but like men, some of us are very good and some of us very bad. Insurance comanies have more faith in women, especially over young male drivers

If driving is what men do, then no. Women safely navigate the road ways to get from one place to another, while trying to avoid the male hazards ever present on the roads.

Ask the girls at Shelia's Wheels or Diamond car insurance. They are companies who deal with car insurance JUST for WOMEN. No MEN. And why is that?? Because women have far less accidents than men and are less of a liability to insure. Even 17 yr old males have problems with insurance - it's up to £500 cheaper for a girl of the same age. I think the facts speak for themselves.

Insurance companies think so. They offer better rates to women drivers, or at least they used to. The real question: can men drive?

Yes I can. No accidents or tickets at all. And I'm sure there are plenty more women just like me who have even been driving longer.
