For some people to think this is a silly question, they need to look at the voilume of answers and also wonder why they answered it.
Kermit the muppet is not real in the sense he is alive, but he is a real TV and movie star, which is more than many of us "real" people will ever have. He is also more recognized than many other famous people are by people of all ages.
He may be fabric and ping pong balls, but he also makes real money that any of us would love to have!
