the difference between a male and a man?

Oh come on guys! Surely you know that not all males are men! Shall I pose the question another way? No, I'd rather hear from the smarter one amongst you.

i would say "male" refers to the Gender of someone.. like biologically, physically, they are Male.

being a "man" is different... more of a social term that separates an immature "boy" from a mature "man". when people say to act like a Man, it really means to be Strong, Confident, Smart, Trustworthy, Respectable, and Willling/Able to take care of things. when a guy is immature, lazy, mean, indecisive, they are seen as weak, and therefore not Manly.

there is also the term "Macho", in which guys try to overcompensate by acting Rude, Obnoxious, or Conceited. it does NOT mean Manly. a real Man will not have to overcompensate for anything.. he knows what he is, what he is capable of, tries to do the Right thing for his family, friends, etc. takes responsibiltiy for his actions.

men are of the male gender but doesn't mean all men are "men", some are just different in many ways, gay, transsexual, many others. Also just because a man is over 18 doesn't mean he is a "man", grown up, mature, responsible, etc.

Look male is man in the biology sense. If your talking man as in handling his responsibilities ...the definition would be a male version of ME!!!

Male is the biological term. Man is the characteristics. My wife was a man...didn't have the genitals but sure had the balls. Of course, she's not my wife any longer.
