I am a naturally underweight person, I have a high metabolism I think, I have always eaten a lot but made sure it was balanced.
Since I got pregnant though, I have got out of control, I cant stop thinking about food it is on my mind 24/7.My main cravings are for cheese, eggs, sandwiches, oranges, meat and toast, and I am just constantly eating all day long until my stomach is so full and I feel sick, even then I am still thinking about eating more. I eat my meals too and fruit/ vegetables, but I am just worried that this is not normal, what is wrong with me?

Seeing as you are underweight and only a slight build, your body is probably just trying to lay down some fat stores. This is a natural reaction that we have evolved so that pregnant women can sustain their pregnancies and nourish their babies.
It sounds like you are eating good foods, so that's good. Just stay off the high sugar junk foods and you should be fine.
As someone who is underweight, you should be looking to put on about 3 stone during your pregnancy, that's a stone more than a normal weight person and 2 stone more than an overweight person.

Besides asking your doctor about this at your next checkup, this is probably no big deal. It sounds like your choices are pretty nutritious, not a lot of junk, so it will all help your baby. If anything you are lucky you have a healthy appetite rather than nasty morning sickness. In fact, eating regularly may be preventing it. The docs will weigh you at each checkup, and if you are truly gaining too much consistently, they will suggest a change. A craving can be due to a deficiency, so take your prenatal vitamins. Thin people need to gain a little more while pregnant than us chubs, so most likely your body has triggered your appetite to assist you in this important task!! Best wishes for you and the baby!

The food you are craving don't seem particularly bad for you, so don't worry about the baby. My advice is to eat several small meals throughout the day. As you progress in your pregnancy, your baby will push your stomach up and you will be unable to eat large meals....without tasting it again and again...i u know what I mean. You must ask yourself: Am I hungry? Am I bored? Must I eat for two? Got to www.babyzone.com. I'm 11 weeks as well. Congrats!

Your body is craving iron, protein, calcium and calories in general to help get nutrients to the growing fetus. It's COMPLETELY normal, just don't overdo it on sweets and try to keep active with walking or swimming. It always amazes me how the brain seeks out what the body needs in the form of cravings. I have a friend who craved Red Lobster and on the way there she wanted to go to the drive thru and get french fries to hold her over until she got there. ha ha ha! She was always tiny and had a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby boy!

It's normal to have an increase in appitite when you're pregnant. I remember being embarassed by how much food I ate. Just remember, your baby's taking a lot of nutrients from your body (especially during these first few months), and it's natural for you to feel the need to replace those nutrients. As long as you're not making yourself sick, and you're not stuffing yourself with junk food, you'll be fine.

There's nothing wrong with you - you're pregnant! Just keep doing what you're doing. Underweight women generally do gain a little more than average throughout the pregnancy.

You must control your eating now.The baby does not get the food you eat but only gets the vitamins, minerals, calsium and iron.A pregnant person never has to over eat to make sure the baby is getting some.Im just telling you what my doctor told me and I believe he was right.I have 6 kids.all healthy and good birth weight and I never over ate with any of them.It is gonna be so hard for you to lose the weight after the baby is born and odds are you will continue gaining weight after the baby is born.

You pregnant and in the biggest growth stage for the fetus. the first three months are when the baby grows all the major systems and organs, that takes an insane amount of energy.
Eat when youre hungry and waht you're craving. They will pass in a while.
You'll do the same thing in the end of your pregnancy whenthe baby is doubling its weight before birth.
