I can see a lot of homeless dogs, but no cats. Why? Dogs ate them all or other cause?

Obviously, the people that did answer have never been to India. I don't know if you yourself have been to india.But I was born/lived there for 10 years. There are homeless cats there, plenty of them, they arent on the streets, they live around more industrial buildings, or housing communities, thats where people feed them [for goodluck] they also have easy access to food like, rats, birds etc.
So ya, there are cats in india, plenty of them, you just have to look alot closer.
and NO we dont eat cats or dogs, just to clarify some things here, we respect animals more than most countries.

Many countries do not see cats and dogs as pets. Others eat these animals and that may be the case somewhere in India

Rats ate them. Maybe no one introduced cats to India. Bahamas is like that...tons of stray dogs, no cats.

Cat stay in the allies, were they find rats and mice. They follow the food chain. They also hide from hungry dogs.

They are not cat lovers so not many cats in India.... or they stay in the house.

now that is an interessting question - i've seen loads of different animals in the streets in india - cows, monkeys....but i can't remeber that there were any cats...hmm....
