Your right, and while we're at it, we should sell off all parks, rec centers, museums, national monuments, national and state parks, public lands, stadiums, and all other public installations which are only used for recreation or enhancement of our lives. You know what else... what about movie theaters and restaurants? Why do we need those? I think the owners of all these places should sell out and give the proceeds to the needy. There is no need for luxury and recreation.

This is an ancient arguement. Does one use all available funds to help people who don't have anything, or do we use some funds for that and some for the things that enhance life, things that are beautiful and inspiring? Some conservatives (not me) would even say that the poor are poor because they don't want to work, and that any kind of handout encourages laziness.
God talks more in the Bible about taking care of the poor, the widow and the orphan than any other topic. But He also gave very specific directions for how his tabernacle was to be created and decorated using the finest artisans available. I would encourage you to try to think about this with a little more balance.

Like sell the statue of liberty on ebay? "131 year-old statue in good condition shipping not included but will ship anywhere". What if some other country bought it so they could deface it and American's would be all mad and well there you go world war 3 lol.
Besides even if that did happen the money would just go for stupid causes. Look at all the money now that gets wasted. Like they could sell off Betsy Ross American flag and it would probably go for free gas to goverment officals, you know cause gas is up and all.

Well I asked a similar question recently, and people feel that someone who pays 140 million dollars for a painting is investing..
how many millions does one really need...I would rather see someone do something to benefit others if at all possible...I wish I had the resources to do so because I would....it's very sad when
people value things more than people

What the hell do you mean "sell our public treasures"? how the hell is someone supposed to do that? What, are they going to sell the Empire State building and let the guy move it to his backyard? You can't sell "public treasures". Try to be specific, OK?
