An 80gb ipod update was realesed the 80gb is the same size(thin) as the 60gb model and has better battery life for 350.00 vs 400 for the 60gb.
Get the 80gb it's a good price and has 6.5 hrs. of video

I'm not sure why the 60gb was discontinued, possibly in post-production process it caught a virus. But I would recommend the 80gb, its a bit more money, but it has more memory. But if you don't have the extra cash, 30gb can still do, its just a lot less memory.

in the journey that your searching for form bypass for the 30gb, i propose once you're really procuring it for stylem its present day black is the position its at, yet in case you modify your concepts and want an IPOD for a reason %. the white 80gb
