I have a twenty gallon tank, and i have two smaller angelfish and a plecostomous as well, he's a pretty big one too. Anyway, i was wondering, could i put a freshwater crab in the tank? Think the fish might get to him?

Crabs can be very aggressive and I would watch out for the fins on your angel fish. But when the crab needs to grow and it has to break out of its shell than the crab will be very vulnerable to attack. I had two of them in a twenty gallon tank they where in with three tiger barbs and some larger green barbs and once the crabs got out of there shells they where history I would come home from work only to find peaces of crab all over the tank. what a wast of 20 bucks!

they should be ok for first few days but then the freshwater crabs will try to eat the anglefish's fins and crabs will try to escape the tank. As the angle fish grows it will become terotorial and attack crabs.. Dnt put them together. i had them together and some crabs fought with angle fishes and some escaped my tank(even though i had a proper lid on the tank)

I wouldn't put the crab in there. Trust me i had one before and he nipped all the angel fish fins off and he was just a pain. We took the crab back to the store.

Actually quite the reverse, the crab will nip at the angelfish fins, and they will get stressed and probably die.

dont do it animals tend to not like the other animals who are bigger or more fierce. Either the crab will nip at the fish or visa versa

I suggest to keep them in different tanks just to be safe.
