I would guess from many factors in your post, that you are a foreigner.

If you lived here, and knew the history of this country, you would know that while the legacy of racism is not entirely gone, it is nothing like what you describe.

Many nations have had a violent or biased past and have done things they are not proud of.

The USA at least admits most of our mistakes and attempts to correct them through the democratic process. If you don't understand that, then you have my pity.

We have come far for African American's here in the US. Rosa Parks made the beginning of century's history not to mention honorable Dr. Martin Luther King. I am a white European decent, but I know more about this nation's history as you. If you're really African American, than you should have been taught this part of history. Not to mention there has been a special memorial dedicated to Dr. Luther King at Washington D.C by the Memorials of the Veterans nearby. I think African American's have come more and more priveledges as you perhaps are aware of . its just these racists idiots that take things in the opposite direction and think that they are right by doing so. America has done a lot for the African American community. I have worked as a Social Worker for head start, and I got to know lot's of African American's that became my closest friends. America is great, and Democracy is great. If you feel picked on, than do something about it. Stand up for your self, fight the curious and greatcious battle that Dr. Martin Luther King has fought for you. If you want more changes, than go into politics and earn your education . Make a difference in your community. Instead of feeling pitty for your self, get of your butt and do something. Otherwise, it's just all is bla, bla bla bla bla... Nothing gets done by doing nothing!

Oh, cry me a river! The average black person in America today has no idea what it means to be truly terrorized. Of course we're not a perfect country - no doubt we have problems to work on, but I'm willing to bet most black Americans are glad to be living in the US.
