Was playing fine, now doesn't read CD. Door opens/closes OK and even hear "spinning" but error message keeps repeating "insert CD into D: drive."

If you use it alot, you might try cleaning the player. You can get a cleaner at most electronics stores.

It could be a couple of different things.
Here are some things to try:
1. Reboot the computer.
2. Try a different CD.

Think drivers! install the driver that came with your drive or go on line down load it. Make sure it is well connected and turn your computer on if it does not work get the driver for it.
