it is difficult for me to, but i look at it this way.. i would rather stay alive than risk getting into an accident by getting all upset about what so many do around me. I drive defensively and always look out for the inconsiderate one. usually i let them cut me off or whatever.. it is not worth trying to "one -Up" these idiots.
I use a method i call "spot the morons" and count to see how many inconsiderate , mindless idiots i can spot in my trip.. i give each one a stupid name in my head.. like Nissan ninny or Honda road hog.. (mine are usually a lot more color full) and laugh at it instead of getting pissed off.
i have young daughters in the car with me and dont want them to swear or inherit the road rage.. so the game works great for me.. they like playing it too.

yes there are but road rage is why, so if you have road rage chances are people are thinking the same about your driving.

Before you get into your car make a conscious effort to relax yourself, talk to yourself while you are still in the parking lot, and say I know there are inconsiderate drivers on the roads and I don't want to be one of them, allow yourself time to get to your destination leaving 5 minutes earlier than you have to in case of heavy traffic so you won't feel the need to speed or zigzag in and out of traffic, you don't get to the red light any faster if you do this by the way, just take deep breaths if you have to and smile and enjoy the privilege of driving. Hope this helps.

Just relax while driving and don't bother what other drivers do. They can deal with their own problems. Just put them aside. Road rage is definetely not a good thing...it can lead to accidents and even deaths, something we don't want.

There's my suggestion! I don't know why I'm giving this advice to you when I illegally street race...not on public roads where there's a lot of people of course :)

Anger is actually a sign of depression.. I can tell when I need my medication adjusted because it seems that everyone around me has turned into a freaking idiot. lol I have a short fuse for no reason, i say mean things.. I swear they just fall out of my mouth! And when I get in the car.. I OWN the damn road! It might sound funny... but even my Dr says thats a sign that I need to address my depression meds. Just a thought.... but I understand. Talk to your Dr about a mild antidepressent, to take the edge off.

By not driving. Your road rage is making you a bad/inconsiderate driver.

Try laughing instead of raging. The other drivers are not going to change, so your attitude must. I know it's hard to laugh when someone does something truly scary, but most of the time it's just silly how hard people work to beat me to the next red light. I also like to pray for them, because their stress must be worse than mine to insite such bad behavior.

A good hard cry. Squeezing a tension ball. Screaming into a pillow or just in general. Counting as high as you can and taking a very very deep breath between each count until you're better. Pulling over and closing your eyes for a few moments until you're relaxed. Calming music.

Get a BMW 7 series.(older model) The plush leather seats, the looks of admiration OR jealousy, the POWER, the sunroof, the experience of driving a fine German engineered car. It's a soothing experience and you learn to LOVE to drive and NOTHING bothers you while on the road. NO ONE can upset you as you are "massaged" by your car.
