While an ultrasound can identify fetal movement as early as 7 to 8 weeks of pregnancy, women generally don't begin to feel the baby move until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks or later, particularly if it's the woman's first pregnancy.
The initial sensations you'll notice aren't real kicks, either. Instead, some women describe the feeling as being like popcorn popping or butterflies in the stomach. If you don't feel any activity by 22 weeks, ask your doctor or midwife about it.
After a while, you'll begin to discern a pattern to your baby's movement and you'll know if something's amiss. If he's not moving as often as he usually does, your baby may be in distress. Ask your practitioner when and how to count your baby's kicks.

You havent felt her move AT ALL, or havent felt her move as much. A lot of the times babies will have days where they are only growing, so their movement is almost nothing, especially if youre up and moving around a lot and not paying attention to their movement. After a couple days of growing they come back twice as strong and active.
Whenever your baby isnt moving and you're concerned, drink or eat something very sugary, such as fruit juice or chocolate, drink a glass of water, and lay down quietly and wait for the sugar to kick in for both of you. You should feel movement within 20-30 minutes.
If not, or if you're concerned, or more than 24 hours goes by with NO movement, call your doctor ASAP and go in to have the heart rate checked.

I had the same thing yesterday and I went to the hospital. I was told that sometimes things like this happen because of the growing uterus and such the baby can move into a position where she is kicking into the placenta or into your back to where you can't feel it. I think you should get checked out, they will hook you up to a machine that will monitor the baby's heart rate, uterus activity and how the baby's heart rate is responding to her movements.
Don't worry to much but I would get it checked out just as a precaution.
Good Luck
PS - Don't eat sugary foods like the person above me said. Get some apple juice or some juice that is good for you, make sure it is really cold and drink it. The cold will wake the baby up if she is sleeping or startle her to the point it will make her move.

Lay on your side for 1 hour. Also, drink a full glass of water. Count how many times she moves. If she moves atleast 10 times in that hour, you are ok. Other wise, call your doc.

No this is not a big deal. Sometimes the babies don't move as much and sometimes they do it when you aren't paying attention (like when you are asleep).
