It's more expensive and much harder than Platinum. It doesn't have the pure white appearance that Pt does, but has a slightly yellow cast.

It's mainly used in small amounts as a alloy component in Platinum alloys, however, on rare occasions requests are made to make pieces out of it. Probably more because of it's greater expense, than because of it's beauty.

I don't think anything is really better in terms of quality and look for jewelry

Depending on what the jewelry is, there are other acceptable options

That would depend upon the intended use. For jewelry, it is a personal preference. For investments, it is the most expensive. For other uses, it might be junk. It makes a terrible insulator.
