So, my aunt got her tongue pierced and I thought it looked really cool. Girls I have asked mostly think its gross, but what do guys think? and why do you girls think its weird?

No not gross, but my question is why? There are several health risks involved with piercing not to mention it will fell like a rock or a huge canker sore in your mouth. Suggestion: Fads like this always fall out of favor. Don't do it. Be yourself!!!

I don't think its gross, but it is my very least favorite piercing on both men and women. And I see a people with teeth and gum issues later on and I get a sinking feeling about that.
Also, so many people will get them for the purpose of oral sex, but I recently asked and many people said there was no difference and others have stated they feel someone is trying to hard by getting one. So people who get them for that reason, I feel are doing it for the wrong reasons. Unlike other piercings, this is not really aesthetic in my opinion.
Though being a piercer, I know how to do them and can do them well, it is not my job to state those feelings to anyone I pierce. Rather, I keep it to myself (most of the time)

I think it's gross from anyone that does it. That piercing not only hurts both physically and visually, but also marks you obviously as someone that has oral sex. That's what the tongue piercing is for. Just think of the rude approaches you'll get. Are you really ready for that kind of harassment?

I don't think it's gross at all. I have my tongue pierced. Yes, there is the risk of doing damage to your teeth, but I was able to minimize the problem. I have a very thin tongue, so I switched barbells from the one it was pierced with (2-in. long, I think) to one that's only 1-in. long. If the balls of the barbell are going to have to hit my teeth, it's only because I conciously do it.

I think sticking a metal rod through a major muscle in your body is just gross. I not only find it gross, but it can also cause a lot of problems. I really don't like piercings period. Anywhere, even ears grosses me out. It goes right along with that fear of needles for me.

It is gross because when you go for a french kiss and the ring is on your tongue it would feel gross. Don't do nothing for fashion because it is sometimes wrong.

It is gross because your tongue is a muscle, whereas your earlobe is skin and cartilage. Also, it leaves how you are able to eat and stuff to the imagination of the viewer!

I don't think is gross, but you have to maintain it clean. Cuz whatever u eat is goin to get stuck in there. And it may cause some odors come out of ur mouth while talking if u don't keep it clean.

i dont think it's gross, but when i meet a girl with a pierced tongue, i know she's an easy slutt who loves to give head.
