I only know the standards for Northern Ireland.

If the space is parallel to the road, it should be 6m x 2m
If the space is perpendicular to the road it should be 5m x 2.5m

However, these "standards" were only used to prove to the Planning Service that business premises had enough space to cope with customer's cars. I don't think they were ever enforced as minimum space sizes.

Dont worry! If there is no garage to park the car then one can use car covers which protect the car from dings,dust,scratches and other hazards.
