I am absolutely no expert - and I might be wrong - in which case I hope I don't offend anyone.
I did a project on body hair once - and I spoke to several different beliefs.
Apparently, the Haifa branch of Islam requires women (and men i think) to remove all their body hair every 40 days, or after each menstruation.
Others look upon removing body hair as a bad thing - but there are different beliefs within the religion - and no clear cut yes or no - as with most religions.....
Most Sikhs live by the rule that they shouldn't cut any hair, not even the hair on their heads.
That's what I was told anyway when I was doing my project

I won't even check out the other responses cause I am assuming some jokesters answered. I am not Muslim and I don't want to assume anything. What I do know is that Muslims in general are VERY clean (moreso than us probably), Muslim law teaches them so many things that make them extra clean. I have heard they shave after menstral cycles but again that is hearsay. If I am correct they are taught in laws to shave, they clean I think the feet, hands face everytime they pray which I think is five times a day. that is just my .20 cents, blame my head not my heart if I am wrong

the persons who instructed you that have been the two ignorant, or mendacity to you. Muslim women human beings will very many times shave all of their physique hair, which contains pubic hair. Many have self belief that it relatively is even a non secular mandate.

we were once having a conversation in a a class and this came up. The results were that all muslim women are required toshave and those who don't are just dirty,it's the men of a certain muslim sect that shouldn't shave and their hairs are to drop off on their own,which i experienced, having dated a muslim asian guy at one time in my life, likewise all african ladies are required to shave and we were astonished that the British and spanish ladies admitted to not shaving coz their men find it sexy. When i was in hospital to have ny son in 2004,i noticed that it was mostly the "white ladies" that were given shavers to shave in preparation for the c-sections whereas it seems the "othesr" were shaved up in preparation.

thats just misconception. women are meant to shave in their religion. but french women apparently dont shave their armpits, and apparently its a turn on for french men (yuk). that was a good answer heldigfis.

how many times aday do all of u wash ur face? we (Muslims) wash our FEET 5 times aday for praying (and ofcourse face, arms, ears, neck).

That's not true at all. In Islam, it is compulsory to remove all unwanted hair. It is said in Islam that cleanliness is half of faith.
