im confused because i dont know whose efforts they are referring to....if they mean british efforts, that is a reason but i know americans made no effort to protect native lands

D.. we didnt care about the native americans back then... the democrats of jeffersonian republican were pro-france but the other party were pro-british so they wanted to be neutral but well all the other factor led to war.. its D

I would go with d. When did the US ever care about the land of Native Americans?
And the US just got done fighting the British for Independence in the late 1700's
